The public is requested to fill out a “Speaker Card” to address the Board on any agenda item before the Board takes an action on an item. Comments from the public on agenda items will be heard only when the respective item is being considered. Comments from the public on other matters not appearing on the agenda that are within the Board’s jurisdiction will be heard during the Public Forum period. Public comment is limited to 15 minutes maximum. No individual speaker will be allowed more than 3 minutes, unless presiding officer of the Board decides differently. As a covered entity under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the City of Los Angeles does not discriminate on the basis of disability and upon request will provide reasonable accommodation to ensure equal access to its programs, services, and activities.       1. Continuing agenda items:
        1. Discussion and election of chairs for the following committees: Land use and Planning, Public Safety, and Neighborhood Beautification.
        2. Discussion and possible action on the appointment of members to the Board’s committees: Rules and Elections, Budget, Finance, and Fundraising, Government Relations and Bylaws, Outreach/ Communications, Land Use and Planning, Public Safety, and the Neighborhood Beautification.
        3. Contested election between Jun Um, Rebecca Ronquillo, and Elizabeth Israelowitz, for the Board’s Community Interest Representative seat.
      2. Election of Luis Salvador to the board as as Young Adult Representative.
      3. Discussion and possible action regarding the demolition of the historic building at 3386 San Marino Street.
      4. Discussion and possible action regarding Council File: 13-1374 - Council members O’Farrell and Koretz’s motion that the City Attorney be requested to prepare and present an ordinance which would prohibit the growth of genetically modified (GM) crops within City limits..
      5. Discussion and possible action on APCC-2014-1947-SPE-SPPA-SPP-DB - a proposal to construct a complex with 100 residential units and 5000 Square Feet of commercial space at 215 N. Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90004.
